In 1968 Ardencaple Boys Club was formed by lifelong pals John McGinley and Wallace Murdoch to give local boys the chance to play football. Initially started with one team then quickly growing to two teams then gradually over the years grew to half a dozen eleven a side teams. The club is now running teams from kids born in the year 2000 to kids born in the year 1989 (teams covering 12 age groups). Both men were extremely proud in how the club grew over the years and how it now gives over 200 kids the chance to train and play football on a regular basis.
